Fruition, the string-based quintet from Portland, Oregon, has long been a band synonymous with a vagabond lifestyle and a musical sensibility that favors hard work and considered tunes over volume and velocity.
From its self-titled debut album, Fruition is a band that built its success out on the road. Regulars on festival stages such as the High Sierra Music Festival, Northwest String Summit, and the All Good Music Festival, the band has arrived at a straight-talking tone that documents human scale concerns, while being rooted in tradition and tempered with a reflective, rewarding awareness of the universal.
Fruition's new album Labor of Love released via Randm Records on April 22nd is a solid step that develops the momentum of 2013's Just One Of Them Nights. It seems as if the summer stages of 2016 are going to be a decent place for eager fans of the band.
