Game Talks "Jesus Piece"
Wed, 21 Nov 2012 09:26:32
Rapper Game sat down and talked to ARTISTdirect and shared some revelations about his new album Jesus Piece.
He talked about scrapping 20-30 songs and his planned album called Five, which stood for "Fears, Victories, Evolution." Then Trey Songz came out with Chapter 5, so Game scrapped his project entirely and renamed the album after the one song he kept, a duet with Kanye West. There were no brawls over the music; Game just started over. That's a man dedicated to his craft.
He even said that the hardest part was not writing or recording new songs, but the fact that he had to call everyone who participated and let them know his plans to start from scratch.
He also reflected on their relationship he has with Yeezy and their repeat performances.
And find out why Game compares this album to The 10 Commandments by watching this chat.
ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief Rick Florino adds, "Game continues to push hip hop forward, and Jesus Piece is another rap classic you’ll wear forever."
