Tron, the sequel to 1982's cult classic Tron, has found its lead. Actor Garrett Hedlund, who appeared in the blockbuster epic Troy and Georgia Rule as well as Eragon, has landed the male lead in the film, which will now be called Tron, just like its predecessor. Tron 2 and Tr2n were being kicked around as possible titles, but Disney has decided to go with the much more simple title.
Hedlund's character will find himself pulled into a computer, and he will have to retrace the steps of Kevin Flynn, a character from the original who endured the same fate. Flynn was first portrayed by Jeff Bridges, who will reprise his role in the sequel. Flynn, who started out as a computer programmer, will now be the C.E.O. of a software giant in the follow-up.
