A gay music festival set to be headlined by Sir Elton John in London this summer has been cancelled. The culprit? The summer Olympics, being held in London. It's not the first concert to be a casualty of the games, indirectly or not.

Pride House was to be held on Clapham Common in the British capital during the Olympics to raise awareness of homophobia in sports. Great cause, right? In theory, at least. The execution isn't coming to pass.

Some sponsors withdrew support and organizers at PAPA Projects admitted the idea was "no longer commercially viable," according to WENN.

A spokesperson for PAPA Projects stated, "While the Olympics presents many great opportunities for event organizers, there have been numerous complexities surrounding the availability of talent, sponsors and resources."

Do you think it's a bumout for this fest to have been cancelled?
