George Jones' Final Nashville Show to Go On as Planned

George Jones was gearing up for his final Nashville concert on Friday, November 22, with a slew of guest appearances. It was going to be the party of all parties in the country scene.
Sadly, Jones passed away on April 26. However, the show will go on, reworked as a tribute concert since the guest of honor has moved on to heaven! He'll probably be looking down on the festivities and smiling.
"Everyone has been asking if we will still do the show," his widow, Nancy Jones, said in a statement. "I have asked Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson and others and they all said 'Yes, I am still going to do it.' So with all the artists still planning on coming, we are going to honor George one final time."
We love that the show will go on! The Possum would have wanted it that way.
Have you checked out George Jones' music since his death? He was a true country legend. Start with "He Stopped Loving Her Today."
