The always fab George Michael has recorded a cover of Stevie Wonder's "You & I" to celebrate the upcoming royal wedding, which takes place this weekend. The singer spent two days in the studio working on the wedding gift for Prince William and Kate Middleton and debuted the track on Piers Morgan's CNN show. What a lovely, customized gift.

"The idea came to me last week, about a week ago, that I should express my happiness at the marriage publicly," Michael explained to Piers, adding that Stevie Wonder had "waived the rights [to royalties] until way after the wedding," enabling the track to be available for free.

"You & I" is available as a free download from here, but the singer is also encouraging fans to make a contribution to the Royal Wedding Charity Fund, which gives money to good causes in lieu of wedding gifts.

What do you think of George Michael's wedding gift? Did you download a free copy?
