Girl in a Coma + James Franco + Stuart Weitzman shoes? What a combo!
Girl in a Coma's cover of "Walking After Midnight" soundtracks a new brand film also titled Walking After Midnight for luxury shoe brand Stuart Weitzman directed by actor/auteur James Franco, which stars model Petra Němcová.
Franco drew inspiration for the campaign from the 1989 cult classic film Mondo New York. The song was also one of the key inspirations. "The song dictated that the events would take place at night, and the fact that it was a single walker helped shape the story into one of a mysterious woman who takes in the city during the heat of the night," says Franco.
The film will be released in four parts on Stuart Weitzman's Facebook page.
The cover appears on Girl in a Coma's album Adventures in Coverland.
The band has just announced a free concert on Thursday, October 25 at 7:30 PM at Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium.
