If you thought all the hype around Glastonbury's 2017 lineup would die down after Radiohead, Foo Fighters, and everyone's favorite red-headed, babyface, Ed Sheeran were announced, you're sadly mistaken. The festival has just rolled out 80-plus supporting acts that once again prove why Glastonbury is still considered number one on the festival circuit.
The xx, Solange, The National, Alt-J, Lorde, Phoenix, and Katy Perry and Father John Misty have all been added to the bill. That's right, Lorde and none other than Katy Perry are acts not even included in the giant five-day festival's top billing.
Other artists added to the lineup include Biffy Clyro, Run the Jewels, Royal Blood, Future Islands, Laura Marling, Justice, Anderson .Paak, Haim, The Flaming Lips, Metronomy, Sleaford Mods, Goldfrapp, Kate Tempest, Thundercat, The Avalanches, Sampha, Ride, Little Dragon, Wild Beasts, Angel Olsen, Warpaint, The Lemon Twigs, Ani DiFranco, Shaggy, Chic, Barry Gibb, The Jacksons, Toots and the Maytals, British Sea Power, Mark Lanegan, The Moonlandingz, Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Stormzy, Girl Ray, Martha Wainwright, and Kris Kristofferson.
What exactly Radiohead will be performing at the festival remains unclear, as recent swirling rumors have suggested the band may play OK Computer to mark 20 years since their famous rain-soaked performance. Phoenix, meanwhile, remain a mystery as speculation around a new album have bubbled to the top of the music world's mine, but no announcement has been made.
We will certainly keep you up to date on all news that is revealed in the upcoming days surrounding the Glastonbury Festival.
