Glen Campbell Probably Won't Perform Again

It is a heavy heart that we report that country singer and "Rhinestone Cowboy" legend Glen Campbell will probably never perform again.
His wife Kim Woollen has said that her husband has lost his ability to remember songs and lyrics, due to his Alzheimer's disease, limiting his ability to entertain his legions of fans. That said, he had a career and we won't soon forget him.
Woollen said, "He can't even tune a guitar now. If I tune one and hand it to him he can still play, (but) not like he used to. He can play a couple licks here and there, and he finds joy in that."
How sad, but we are glad he finds some joy in what he can do.
Campbell has moved into a memory-care facility near his Nashville, Tennessee home earlier this year, as his condition became too advanced for his family to handle on their own.
Woollen visits Campbell daily and promises that he is getting the best care there is.
"There's a lot of sadness (but) we just continue to try to make the best of every day and keep a sense of humor," she said.
We send Glen Campbell and Kim Woollen our very best.
