The 2013 Global Citizen Festival has announced that Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon, Alicia Keys and John Mayer will take part in the event, scheduled for September 28. The concert strides to promote education, women's equality, global health and global partnerships but not through a bunch of lip service.

It will be a free but ticketed event on the Great Lawn in NYC's Central Park.

Wanna go? Well, you must take an "online action" by watching videos, signing petitions, sending emails to world leaders and similar proactive engagements. The purpose of this is to force citizens to focus on the main goals of the concert and to end global extreme poverty by 2030.

So it's not free. You may not have to pay with money but you have to DO SOMETHING! Make an effort. So that's how you "pay" for your ticket – through action!

Fans will be notified when they are selected to receive tickets via Ticketmaster.com throughout the summer. Visit globalfestival.com for more info.

    Pretty brilliant, we think.

Will you do your part for a ticket?
