Jam rockers God Street Wine will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first-ever show --December 13, 1988 at Nightingale Bar at Second Ave and E. 13th Street in Manhattan-- with a pair of performances at New York's Gramercy Theatre on December 20 and 21.
That's not all, though.
In conjunction with the anniversary shows, the band will release its first new recordings since 2000 on the planned box set All the Way to Here, which will contain six audio CDs, including plenty of previously unreleased material and a DVD featuring a documentary film about the band along with live performance footage.
So if you want sip on some (God Street) Wine, this will certainly satisfy the palette.
The band split up in 1999, but has reunited occasionally since 2010, including shows in the New York area last month at the Brooklyn Bowl and Capitol Theatre, and a trio of California shows last year that saw the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir and Phil Lesh joining God Street Wine onstage.
