Gorillaz have announced their first live performance in five years, and it's at their very own festival. On June 10th, the cartoon band will headline Demon Dayz in Margate, England. The festival will take place at Dreamland Amusement Park and will be streamed live on Redbull.TV.

Making things even more exciting for theme park aficionados — who might be excited to learn that the amusement park has existed in one way or another since 1890 — admission includes access to all of the park's rides.

The announcement comes on the heels of last month's news that the new Gorillaz album was, in fact, finished. Damon Albarn, apparently, disclosed the information to a fan, who promptly told the world via Twitter. Back in January, Gorillaz greeted Donald Trump's presidency with their first new music in six years, a collaboration with Benjamin Clementine titled "Hallelujah Money".

Gorillaz last released Plastic Beach back in 2010. Over the last year, the band has released an array of social media material documenting the band's history and what the beloved cartoon characters have been up to since Plastic Beach.

Hopefully, the announcement of the Demon Dayz festival means that an album release is just around the corner. It's a record that fans have been pining for for over half a decade, so any news certainly causes a stir, and frankly we just can't wait for the LP to drop.
