As noted, at the end of last week, Gorillaz returned in full effect. Having been quiet for so long, then offering a string of revealing flourishes across social media, and an inauguration day special release, last week the Damon Albarn — Jamie Hewlett project exploded with stunning new videos, and a live performance for their new, upcoming album Humanz — and full details of their Demon Dayz Music Festival, but now it just gets better for North American fans, as the band confirm a live show on the continent. This live date will be the band's first North American appearance in seven years.

In support of their forthcoming album, Humanz, Damon Albarn's ensemble will travel to appear at Le Festival d'été de Québec (aka the Quebec City Summer Festival) on July 15th. The event takes place at Quebec City's Plains of Abraham, and runs for 11 days total, from July 6th-16th.

Other headline performances from Metallica, Muse, The Who, and Kendrick Lamar are listed, with other confirmed performers including Flume, Migos, Death From Above 1979, Wolf Parade, DJ Shadow, and Phantogram.

This festival appearance marks Gorillaz second announced show for this summer. The other, is the band's own Demon Dayz Music Festival. Their June 10th show in Margate, England promises to feature all collaborators that appeared on the album. To say that tickets are hot is an understatement.

For a release of the new album, Humanz, you'll have to wait until April 28th. You can watch the new video for "Saturnz" while you wait...
