Gospel Soul Group Sensere's Kingdom Therapy Nabs Highest Billboard Chart Rating Yet -

Nine-piece Florida-based gospel group Sensere continues to rise on the Billboard Gospel Charts, last week achieving its highest position yet, #13, up 22 spots from the previous week.

The band's latest album, Kingdom Therapy, is a choice title for its 14 soul-tinged tracks, lined with purpose-driven lyrics (delivered nice and smooth by able frontman and MC James "J-dubb" Wright) and a certain vintage Barry White vibe, with sweeping strings and sultry beats. The overall effect is very therapeutic, as Wright recognizes in the title track, "The world needs therapy, question is, What kind of therapy?/The answer is, God's therapy."

The group will be perform next week at a teen-focused event Saturday, October 17 in Shelby, North Carolina, hosted by Pat Houston (the late Whitney Houston's manager and sister-in-law). She was drawn to the band's music, especially the song "Love," as a "great light in that vast sea of darkness and loneliness," admiring Sensere's "passionate and profound" delivery.
