During a recent interview, Crosby, Stills & Nash member Stephen Stills said that the trio "won't make another album" ever again. Uh, yeah, well that's not what his bandmate, Graham Nash, told VH1 Classic Radio. Wow. They are in the same band but are not on the same page.
Nash said, "I saw the quote from Stephen in the press and it kind of puzzled me as to how he got there. And I have to go: maybe he misheard the question? Or maybe he didn't hear the question because he does a significant hearing loss that he's dealing with. Maybe it was taken out of context, but there's no way in heaven that Stephen could say that Crosby, Stills & Nash will never record again. That's an absurd statement. And I'm sure that he would be the first one to agree."
CSN had been working on a covers album with producer Rick Rubin but parted ways with him. The band still plans to release that album. Nash continued, "We're halfway through that. The stuff we recorded with Rubin still remains with Rubin and Sony. They own that, they paid for that, fantastic. We then went into the studio, in Jackson Browne's studio in Santa Monica and re-recorded a bunch of stuff. We're happy with five of them. We're gonna get back into the studio, which is the reason why Stephen's statement was so curious because he knows that we're going to complete that record."
What do you think of these intraband contradictions?
