On Monday, rumors swirled that Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers would be headlining 2016's Lollapalooza. Today, those rumors were confirmed along with the already suspected Lana Del Rey and J. Cole. That was only the beginning, however. Lollapalooza released the entire lineup for the first ever four-day iteration of the festival, and let's just say it's stacked.
Joining the aforementioned artists will be Grimes, Vince Staples, M83, Haim, Major Lazer, Disclosure, Flume, Ellie Goulding, Die Antwoord, and that's just to name a few. This year's festival seems to cover the entire musical gamut. Hip hop fans have not only the earlier mentioned Staples, but also Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram), Vic Mensa, ASAP Ferg, Danny Brown, Future, and a slew of others. Always slightly discouraged Indie fans shouldn't be disappointed this time around, The Last Shadow Puppets, Kurt Vile & The Violators, The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach's new band The Arcs are all set to attend. Meanwhile, EDM fans should be through the roof as Excision, Martin Garrix, and Classixx will all be playing. And that's just mentioning a few names of a massive list filled with incredible talent. Jane's Addiction and festival creator Perry Farrell will also be playing for the first time since 2009.
The lineup was released this morning via Lollapalooza's Twitter, and also includes day by day breakdowns for the artists.
