For Brits, and for musicologists in general, a Beatles birthplace is a sacred one. The Liverpool house where Ringo Starr was born is set to be demolished to make way for new construction, but not if a group that has launched a campaign to save the home has their way. The man fronting the group told the BBC, "The homes of Paul McCartney and John Lennon are already preserved and Ringo is no less important." They've started a petition to stop the bulldozers and you can sign it at PetitionOnline.com/Ringo/Petition.html.
It's only fair to preserve Ringo's birthplace! Deify these locations. They serve as a part of musical history and topography.
Did you sign the petition? You should?
