Over the extended Labor Day weekend, Gucci Mane got on Snapchat and told followers he "did a record for Outkast". The rapper was listing off recent collaborations with other artists, saying, "I just did a record for Wayne. I just did a record for Boosie. I just did a record for Project Pat. I just did a record for E-40."
Pitchfork reports, "A representative for André 3000 says there's no Outkast news to report." There is a possibility that Gucci was referencing a new collaboration with Big Boi. He was featured on Big Boi's solo debut album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
Back in 2014, Outkast reunited for a series of shows, but it did not seem like the Atlanta duo would be getting back together to create new music. However, after a stint in the film and television world, Andre 3000 has returned this year, recording versus for Frank Ocean and Travis Scott. It still doesn't seem like a new Outkast record is anywhere near, but one can hope.
Gucci is next set to play on September 23rd in Chicago. After that he will be making stops in Washington D.C., Jacksonville, Detroit, and a variety of others. He will also be playing at the Beach Goth festival in Silverado, California. His last currently scheduled concert is set for November 11th in Birmingham, Alabama.Drake & Gucci Mane EP "The Sixers" Confirmed By Zaytoven
