Gucci Mane to be Released From Prison Next Week

Jailed rapper Gucci Mane – his mother dubbed him Radric Davis when she birthed him— is being released on May 12 after serving six months of his one-year sentence. He was remanded to custody at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta last November, for violating the terms of his probation for a 2005 conviction for assault.
He released The State vs. Radric Davis while in jail. The record has sold 353,000 copies since its December street date. Davis, er, Mane has split with Mizay Entertainment, his former manager, as well as Hitt Afta Hitt Enterprises, his booking agency. His former manager and booking agent are both named in several lawsuits, where they are accused of booking the rapper for performances without letting people know he was headed to jail. Now that's what I call unethical, since Mane missed a string of dates and his handlers didn't return hundreds and thousands of dollars in advance payments for these shows. That's the rap world's equivalent of insider trading.
Mane has also shut down his So Icey Entertainment imprint.
Do you think Mane's ex-managers should have the book thrown at them? Are you excited about his next move now that he's getting out of the big house?
