CartHatebreed "Put It To The Torch" Song Review — 5 out of 5 stars

The new Hatebreed song, "Put It To The Torch", is everything metal and hardcore fans would hope for from the band and so much more.
There's an unmitigated aggression reminiscent of their classic Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, but it's filtered through their tightest and toughest precision assault ever. The riffs curl and crush with palpable power and an irresistibility characteristic of their best work. It's a pit-ready anthem that stands proudly alongside the likes of "Tear it Down", "Defeatist", and "Proven" with its own guns blazing.
Frontman Jamey Jasta's chorus stands out as downright deadly too. He barks, "Here's your apology. Here's to burning out, and here's to fading away. Fuck you both. I just put it to the torch!"
The torch is lit, and when The Divinity of Purpose drops January 29, Hatebreed will once again set heavy music ablaze.
Don't say we didn't warn you.
