LA-by-way-of-Houston rapper Hyro Da Hero will release his explosive and enthralling debut, Birth, School, Work, Death, on April 3rd via Stereo Bang Media. Hyro is an emcee, but he also has a rock edge, making his appeal utterly universal. The record was produced by Ross Robinson—the man behind the iconic debut albums by Korn, Slipknot and At the Drive-In-- and it taps directly into a vein that has been ignored by many rap and rock acts in recent years. "He pushed me to the edge, and I was able to realize everything I'd always dreamed my music would sound like with his help. It got intense, but it was all worth it, and I've got a record that's going to knock the world on its ass," Hyro said about working with Robinson.
Hyro's band features dudes with impressive pedigrees: Daniel Anderson [guitar, Idiot Pilot], Paul Hinojos [bass, At The Drive-In/Sparta/The Mars Volta] and The Blood Brothers' Cody Votolato [guitar] and Mark Gajadhar [drums]. See what I mean about Hyro Da Hero having universal appeal?
The track listing for Birth, School, Work, Death is as follows:
