She's so "Fancy." Rapper Iggy Azalea has been named the host of MTV's iconic but long-canceled fashion series, House of Style, which is being exhumed and will play out across all MTV screens (television, web, mobile and social).
Throughout the short-form, eight-episode season kicking off on August 4, which will live on MTV.com and be socialized across all of MTV's accounts, Azalea will take viewers from Los Angeles' best vintage stores to music video sets with Rita Ora and designer Jeremy Scott.
House of Style will chronicle how the fashion industry evolves alongside music and technology and brings a community together. Exploring the symbiotic relationship between music and fashion, the series will connect fans with celebrity style setters and designers to explore new trends.
So it's House of Style, the 2014 version!
The series will culminate on Sunday, August 24 at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, when the show and I-G-G-Y bring fans live into the action with the first-of-its-kind live "show within a show." Viewers will see commentary from Iggy in real-time on all things VMAs – from the performances to red carpet style hits and more – interspersed throughout the on-air VMAs Pre-Show from 8 to 9PM. On Tuesday, August 26, House of Style will air a special VMA fashion recap episode that will premiere on MTV at 7PM.
The original series ran on MTV from 1989-2000.
