Iggy Pop has revealed that The Passenger, a planned biopic about him starring Elijah Wood, has been canceled. Pre-production was slated for this year, but it's not nixed. Done. Dead. Gone. No more. In the rear view. Never got off the ground. You get the picture, huh?

"It's on the shelf," Pop told an Australian radio station. "It's nothing against Elijah and the script was OK, but they sort of wanted me to jump out of cakes and do promotional things and I didn't really want to get involved. I didn't think it was time for someone else to tell our story because inevitably it's not just my story; it's everybody I worked with."

    Jumping out of cakes?

Would you have wanted to see Elijah Wood as Iggy Pop?
