The Hollywood Foreign Press Association have just revealed nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes. The annual award show, now in its 74th year celebrates excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign.
Seemingly present in almost every category this year was Deadpool, which appears to be nominated in every plausible group that it could be possibly mentioned in. Sausage Party, the R-rated animated adventure penned and voiced by Seth Rogen is a notable shut out. However, there are many 'victories by nomination' in the music side of the event.
This years music categories represent some of the best artists currently in the game. The Best Original Song category is incredibly impressive with Lin-Manuel Miranda's "How Far I'll Go" (Moana), Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling!" (Trolls), Iggy Pop and Danger Mouse's "Gold", (Gold), Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande's "Faith" (Sing), and Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's "City of Stars" (La La Land) receiving nominations. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer earned a Best Original Score nomination for Hidden Figures.
