Git Fresh will definitely make you dance.

The Miami trio of Rude Boi, Pretti Sly and Penny sound like a combination of R. Kelly, The Temptations and a little Snoop Dogg. They've got a club-ready swagger, but they've also got a classy sense of refinement that drastically separates them from the pack. You won't be able to stop singing their first single, "She Be Like" either. It's a bona fide club banger with a little smooth R&B here and there. You're going to feel fresh listening to Git Fresh…

Git Fresh—Rude Boi, Pretti Sly and Penny—sat down with ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino for an exclusive interview about "She Be Like," rocking with Flo Rida, their forthcoming album and so much more.

What was it about "She Be Like" that grabbed you?

Rude Boi: We were in the studio listening to some tracks. Lamb came in and played the record for us, and we added our little tints to it. The song just worked from there. That "Bomb, bomb, bomb" part grabbed us instantly!

Pretti Sly: It means exactly what it says, "First round, second round…"We're going twelve rounds [Laughs]. We have to, until we get a K.O.!

Is this a fitting preview for the rest of the record?

Pretti Sly: It sets up the mood for the rest of the album, for sure.

What's up with "What Them Girls Like?"

Rude Boi: We were in the studio every day. On one occasion, we were cooking something up, and we came across that track. We saw it as an opportunity to get on a hit record; and it came through. The record ended up blowing up down in Miami. It was a moment we took advantage of, and it turned out to be the right move. We find the records that we feel say what the group wants to say, and that was one of them.

Flo Rida's fucking awesome on the track too. Your voices complement each other…

Rude Boi: Yes, he is fucking awesome [Laughs].

Pretti Sly: Flo Rida's definitely dope. We're having a ball working with him!

How did you strike up that relationship?

Pretti Sly: It started with us meeting Flo's manager at the studio. We played our music for him, and he liked it. The next day, he took us to Flo's video shoot. After the shoot, we spoke to Flo, and we connected right then and there. The next thing we knew, we signed to Flo's management company and independent label, which is Strongarm/I.M.G. Then we were on tour with Flo overseas. We went to the UK, Paris, Greece, Switzerland, Moscow, Turkey and everywhere else you could think of. You name it; we've been there with Flo in the last six-to-eight months. We got "She Be Like" out, and it started blazing up the radio.

Is there a crazy story behind the "She Be Like" video?

Penny: Actually, the video showcases the group a lot. It gives the world a chance to see what we look like. It's about having fun, wildin' out and doing what we do. We introduce ourselves to everyone with "She Be Like."

So, is Miami the place to be right now?

Rude Boi: Miami is definitely what's happening right now! On the music and the entertainment scene altogether…Lebron James is coming down [Laughs]. It's like a young Hollywood down here right now. The music scene is incredible with artists like Rick Ross, Flo Rida and the artists that paved the way like Uncle Luke. It's an amazing place. When you listen to our album, you'll hear all of those different influences. Miami is the spot! You've got to get down here, so you can party with Git Fresh [Laughs]! See these strip clubs, man!

Which albums do you always come back to?

Rude Boi: I can collectively speak for the group when I say we are huge R. Kelly fans. One of our favorites is The R.. We all definitely have our different genres music, but we're huge R. Kelly fans. His music has definitely shaped us a lot.

You've done a track with him too, right?

Rude Boi: R. Kelly is a good friend of ours and a big supporter. We did a track called "Let's Make Love" that wasn't released.

You're going to have to do another one…

    Rude Boi: You're right [Laughs].
