Hyro Da Hero likes to tell stories when he grabs a mic. That's exactly what he's going to do on his forthcoming album, Belo Horizonte too.

We were really curious about what tales have impacted the Houston rap maestro though. He's hypnotized then knocked us out cold with the likes of "Dirty South Rock" and "Glimpse Into America," and it's because he knows his shit…

ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino sat down with Hyro for this exclusive interview about the MCs favorite flicks. Check out his list below and keep your eye on Hyro. He'll be unseating Lil Wayne from the top of hip hop VERY soon…

    1. Juice — One of my all time favorites. Pac played one of the sickest villains ever.

    2. Heathers — It was a sick, weird comedy that tripped me out. I don't think a movie can do what they did with this anymore.

    3. House Party — I could recite this movie word for word. I've seen it over a million times. I remember trying to do the dance scene over and over with my cousin.

4.The Five Heartbeats — I got this movie on VHS. It is a hood classic—a especially when they stole the show when the odds were against them.

    5. La Bamba — Ritchie Valens was doing it big when he was 16. That was sick—pickin' his girl up from school in his ride.

    6. Enter The DragonBruce Lee was actin' a fool, and the homey Jim Kelly was too fly.

    7. Training DayDenzel was gangsta. The ending scene is dope.

    8. Menace II Society — I was young when I saw this and appreciated it even more when I got older. Gotta love the hood movies!

9.The Last Dragon — Bruce Leroy and Sho Nuff, Nuff Said…

    10. Paid in Full — Them dudes were fly in The 80's. I love to see the come up; I hate seeing the downfall.
