Oscar-winning rap luminary gives us a glimpse at Pure THC: The Hustle Continues and calls Kendrick Lamar's new album "Top Five"…

Juicy J is gearing up to unveil his latest solo album Pure THC: The Hustle Continues [Kemosabe/Columbia] soon. As he gears up for tour, the Academy Award winner has been cooking up a journey worthy of 2013's phenomenal chart-topping Stay Trippy, which blessed the world with the ubiquitous "Bandz a Make Her Dance" [feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz]. However, this time around, he's getting more personal and, as the fiery rhymes on "Low" and "For Everybody" indicate, he's about to deliver his solo opus. Juicy J stands out as one of rap's most forward-thinking visionaries, continuing to challenge himself and the game at large, while delivering smashes you can't shake. Get ready for his biggest album yet. He spoke to us in this exclusive interview about Pure THC: The Hustle Continues, why the new Kendrick Lamar album is in his Top Five, and so much more.

Does Pure THC: The Hustle Continues pick up where you left off on Stay Trippy, or does it veer down a new path?

As a musician, we write and make music as we go. It's definitely in a great sequence. When you release songs, you think, "Let me make sure this goes with this so it's like a story."

    What's the story here?

It's just about my life, you know what I'm saying. Right now, I am having a party. I'm having a great time. I'm enjoying myself, but still I'm letting people know where I came from—from the Three 6 Mafia era to what I'm doing at the moment and how I got there. It's the grind and the hustle. I never stopped grinding. I never stopped hustling. I never stopped working. I just kept moving. It has nothing to do with the money or anything like that. It's just that I love music.

What's "For Everybody" [feat. Wiz Khalifa & R. City] about for you?

When we came with that record, it was just what's going on. You look around and you see this chick with this guy. It's a lot of different things in relationships I've been through in my life. I felt like expressing it. It's a real record.

Where did "Low" [feat. Nicki Minaj, Lil Bibby, & Young Thug] come from? You do that "Trippy Music" better than anybody…

Thanks man! It was a club banger, and it still is a club banger. We definitely kept it moving. We just deliver good records the fans want to hear, enjoy, and love. We try to make sure they want keep these records in their disc-changer, iPod, or iPhone twenty years from now—classic records.

When did you get that title Pure THC: The Hustle Continues?

After I did Stay Trippy, I felt like I was still working so I thought, "The Hustle Continues." That's how I was feeling at the time, and it's how I still feel where I'm at now. I continue to hustle why not stop. Keep moving, shine on some more people, sign some more new artists, and maintain the movement forward.
