Interview: Sam Worthington, Alexa Davalos of Clash of the Titans — "Clash would be Metallica's Ride the Lightning…I crank Stone Temple Pilots' Core a lot"

Every rock 'n' roll shirt has a story.
Clash of the Titans star Sam Worthington chuckles, "I wore a Stone Temple Pilots t-shirt in the first movie I ever did. It was my own shirt, and I never got it back [Laughs]. The fuckers kept it! After we wrapped the film, I went to get it back, and it'd gone missing! It sucks, man! I can never get that t-shirt back!"
Watching Sam play Perseus in Clash of the Titans, it's hard to believe anyone could steal a shirt from him. As Perseus, he kicks all kinds of mythical ass with a style, panache and strength that few actors possess. In fact, he's the 21st century's ultimate action hero—blending a classic code of honor with some modern death-defying and dynamic heroics.
Clash of the Titans is an action epic of legendary proportions. A nonstop adrenaline rush from start to finish, Clash decapitates Avatar for 3-D supremacy. Breathtaking, brutal and brilliant all at once, Clash rips, roars and ravages through the senses.
In addition to having a killer taste in tunes, Sam combines that raw energy with deep insight. "Perseus is a guy whose family has been wiped out," explains Worthington. "He's trying to figure out what he fits in the world. I thought that was something we could all relate to. When he finds out he's part god and that a god killed his family, he's not happy. I didn't want him to embrace the god side. I thought that was a weird choice to say to a young kid he can achieve everything as a god. I wanted to say he could achieve everything as a man."
ARTISTdirect.com editor and Dolor author Rick Florino conducted an exclusive video interview with Clash of the Titans cast members Sam Worthington, Alexa Davalos and Mads Mikkelsen.
