It's her live album and encompasses her career
Former Nightwish singer Tarja has the voice of an angel. Seriously. She has an operatic reach that cannot be matched. Tarja just released a live album of material encompassing her career, but with a fresh and unique spin. So now was as good a time as any to go deep and find out what's at the heart of Luna Park Ride and how this siren takes care of that precious voice of hers.
So what's the unique element to Luna Park Ride? Well, the album contains material filmed by her fans, a true testament to the deep, unbreakable connection the Finnish singer has with those who adore her!
We picked her brain and here's what we learned! Did you know she is the godmother of a shark? Wait, what? Oh, just read on to find out.
Tell us EVERYTHING we need to know about Luna Park Ride. What does it encompass and why are you releasing it now?
Luna Park Ride is my new live release mixed by Tim Palmer and filmed by the fans at Stadium Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Filmed by the fans? Wow! How did that work? It's super DIY and awesome.
I asked my fans to send me filmed material they might have from this show and then made an edit of all the incredibly amount of footage I received. While watching the show, you feel like you are present at the concert, since it is not professionally filmed and the band nor I were thinking of making a DVD release out of it. We were all very relaxed and had a great time with our audience.
This footage was previously released with 1,000 copies of a limited edition mediabook of my very first live release ACT I.
But since it was hugely requested by my fans as a proper release, with my record company, we decided to offer it to them now. The package includes over 70 minutes of bonus material with live videos from my concerts all over the world.
Amazing. Can you Pick ONE song one from this record and share a story about your experience with the song Something intimate, that you haven't told anyone else (or at least a bunch of writers or journalists) and that which puts us in the moment with you. Let's get intimate, shall we?
'Underneath.' I was thinking how lucky I am to perform for such an incredible audience and to be surrounded by so much love. I enjoyed singing this song like never before and felt such a joy inside me. It was a beautiful moment.
