Rihanna tweeted photos of herself earlier this week while getting tattooed in Los Angeles. She appears to have gotten "Thug Life" tattooed across her knuckles in honor of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, who had the words etched across his belly, famously so. So is RiRi's tribute to 'Pac real? We're wondering.

While Ri did tweet another photo of herself getting her back tattooed while holding a beer -never a good idea to drink before or while getting tattooed, since it can lead to some regrettable ink- she tweeted a shot of her knucks, but it looked like just the outline and stencil.

While Ri reportedly has up to 15 tattoos already -including one on her neck- we are thinking that maybe the knuckle tatts are fake. Maybe she just had the outline and stencil applied. Maybe she didn't go through with it. Maybe she did. We can't really tell until more photos of her out and about surface.

We question if they are real or not because two pieces of real estate where tattoos are tough and tough to hide are necks and knucks! Knuckle tatts aren't something you normally see on a pop star. Ri's hands are dainty, so the tat is a little out of place.
