Jack Nicholson Considers Starring Opposite Reese Witherspoon

Jack Nicholson is considering teaming up with James L. Brooks yet again for the director's currently untitled romantic comedy starring Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, and Owen Wilson.

Nicholson worked with Brooks on Terms of Endearment, the tearjerker for which he won an Best Supporting Actor Oscar, and As Good as it Gets, for which he nabbed a Best Actor statuette.

This film, which was penned by Brooks, features Witherspoon as a young professional softball player caught in a love triangle with Rudd and Wilson, who will play a baseball player.

If the deal is worked out, Nicholson would play the fatherly role. Shooting begins later this month on the East Coast.
