Singer James Blunt is hoping to break the world record for the highest live give ever. And no, he is not making a literal or figurative reference to his name or that kind of high, although that would be pretty effing cool. Instead, according to Music-News.com, Blunt will play on a Boeing 757 on Tuesday, June 29, as the talent for an event that was organized by a UK radio station called Hart FM.
The singer will croon to 150 radio station contest winners at 41,000 feet for the "Great Gig in the Sky" Promotion. It is the 300th anniversary celebration of RSA Insurance, who is sponsoring the event.
Would seeing James Blunt at 41,000 feet be intriguing to you? That is what I call a captive audience.
