Fox has greenlit a new show, Jamie Fox Project, a half-hour sketch comedy series from executive producer Jamie Foxx that will debut in prime time sometime during the 2010-2011 season. Jamie Fox Project is the show's working title. Foxx and Fox, get it?

Affion Crockett of The Boondocks will star in and also serve as a producer in the comedy, which the network said will offer a "fresh take on pop culture, including spoofs of movie trailers, commercials, TV shows, and music videos." According to the press statement, the yet-to-be-named cast will include up-and-coming comedians. Fox also promises that some of the "biggest names in Hollywood" will be a part of the show. Jamie Foxx has pull, fo' sho.

"Jamie Foxx's brilliance first shined on Fox, so it's fantastic to welcome him back to the network," said Kevin Reilly, Fox's entertainment president, in a statement. "Jamie is an undeniable comedy powerhouse both as a performer and a producer, and teamed with the outrageous next-generation comedy of Affion Crockett, we look forward to the next wave of sketch comedy on Fox."
