CartJason Mraz to Appear on "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" on Valentine's Day

Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz has long been a very vocal fan of children's TV pioneer Fred Rogers, even performing the theme from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood in concert. He will truly show his fandom by singing two of Rogers' songs on PBS next month.
This Valentine's Day, Mraz will help spread the love – and Rogers' signature "I like you just the way you are" messages of acceptance and admiration to fans young and old of the ratings-winning preschool series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood with the national premiere of "You Are Special," an all-new Valentine's Day episode, on PBS KIDS.
Mr. Mraz will sing the opening and closing songs – "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" and "It's Such a Good Feeling" – two classic tunes penned and originally performed by Rogers himself. The adorable, animated Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood is the first original show from The Fred Rogers Company since the beloved Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
Angela C. Santomero, the show's co-exec producer, said, "Given Jason's strong connection to Fred Rogers, we couldn't think of a more perfect person to be our 'neighbor' and sing two of Fred's most well-known and best-loved songs,” said. "Fred knew that music is very important in connecting with young viewers and we believe he would have been very happy to know of Jason's 'visit' to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe."
