CartJason Segel Gets His Muppet On

Jason Segel built his reputation on bawdy, Judd Apatow-designed bromances like Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man, but the actor, like many comedians before him, is making a left turn at the corner of Family and Fare by signing on to star as the human lead in Disney's forthcoming Muppets movie. Segel will also serve as a producer on the project, whose plot is being purposely kept under wraps. The only key detail that is known is that Segel will portray a man out to reunite the separated Muppets, an arduous task for a mere mortal, no doubt.
Segel also wrote the film's script, so if it makes bank at the box office, look for Segel to graduate to the upper echelon of Hollywood's ranks.
