Jay Z will be headlining his Made in America Festival this year, along with J. Cole and The Chainsmokers. The festival will take place in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend, September 2nd and 3rd, at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Solange, Run the Jewels, Migos, DMX, Little Dragon, and Pusha T will also be playing at the two-day fest, along with EDM stars Marshmello and Kaskade. Other artists on this year's bill include 21 Savage, DJ Mustard, Sampha, Marian Hill, Wizkid, Francis and the Lights and Vic Mensa.
This will be the second time Jay Z headlines the event he curates. He last took the lead slot of the festival back in its inaugural year, 2012. Last year, Coldplay and Rihanna were the top-billed artists, while Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz's ColleGrove project, Grimes, A$AP Ferg and Jamie xx all took the stage.
Rumors are still swirling about the possibility of Jay Z releasing a new record this year, and this added performance will only add fuel to the fire. He is also performing at V Fest in England in August. Whether or not Hova will actually be coming out with anything new remains a mystery, but just the opportunity to see the legend on stage should certainly be enough to get tickets sold out quickly. Tidal presale tickets are already available on the festival website.
