Jay-Z Vs. Big Papi

It’s a showdown that’s about to get as ugly as the long and bitter Yankees-Red Sox baseball rivalry, only this battle is off the diamond. Jay-Z and his business partner are suing Sox slugger David Ortiz, also known as “Big Papi” for his bat skills. The pair claims that Ortiz named his Dominican nightclub in Santo Domingo after their chain of 40/40 clubs, which are located in New York, Las Vegas and Atlantic City, according to a story issued by The Associated Press. The suit was filed in Manhattan Federal Court on April 16. Ortiz's club is named Forty-Forty and Jay-Z says that Ortiz is hoping to capitalize on Jay’s fame by borrowing the name. Yes, we know, that rhymes.
Lawyer Peter Raymond told the New York Daily News that Ortiz had visited the clubs twice and thus had knowledge of their existence. That may be true, but that doesn't mean he stole the name and for the reason he is being accused of! Is this Jay-Z's underhanded way to distract the Sox from the game hand, which is playing the Yankees?
Do you think this is all a mere coincidence?
