Jennifer Lopez almost didn't record her latest single "Booty" because she felt it was objectifying.
"When I first heard the song, I didn't want to do the song," the singer with the famous derriere told Access Hollywood. "For the same reasons everybody else thought, you know, it's reducing myself to something, it's just about the booty and all that."
But her twins Max and Emme totally dug it when they heard it. She said, "But I played it in the car with my kids and they loved it immediately. I was ready to throw it into the garbage. I said, 'You know what, this is a fun song.'"
La Lopez feels the song ultimately empowers. Really. "At the end of the day, I thought this is empowering, this is fun," J. Lo said. "Why after a certain age you have to stop having fun or being sexy or you have to stop living? It doesn't have to be at or 30 that it's over… This is good for women."
Do you agree with her assessment? That "Booty" is about much more than da bootay?
