Jessica Simpson will star in a sitcom based on her life. Exciting, if you dig J. Simpson.
The singer/actress/fashion designer gave birth to first daughter Maxwell in May of last year and is already pregnant again! Dad is her fiancé, Eric Johnson. So there's lots of material to draw from.
Simpson has partnered with executives of her Fashion Star reality show for this sitcom, which will be semi-autobiographical and scripted.
Simpson got super famous on the MTV reality show Newlyweds, which chronicled her marriage to Nick Lachey of 98°. The marriage ended in divorce.
Simpson's father and manager Joe will produce.
"I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life – so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we'll have people laughing!," Simpson said.
