Joan Jett Switches Thanksgiving Day Parade Floats

Rocker Joan Jett is set to be a part of this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York but not without controversy.
The rock goddess was slated to ride and perform on the South Dakota float, but will no longer proceed with that plan. Local ranchers protested due to the fact that Jett is a vegetarian and therefore a critic of what they do.
Rather than ditch the parade altogether, Jett will take up real estate on a different float. Problem solved. Disaster and crisis averted.
In a statement, Jett said, "I've decided to switch from South Dakota to another float because people's political agendas were getting in the way of what should be a purely entertainment-driven event. I will remain focused on entertaining the millions of people watching, who will be celebrating a great American tradition."
Great 'tood, Joan! That's why we love ya, girl. That and the fact that you are supremely talented and prove that girls can have their way with guitars. Keep it about entertaining America, not agendas.
Will you be watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade?
