John Lennon's 70th Birthday Will Be Celebrated With Reissues

Wherever there is John Lennon, there is Yoko Ono, lurking not far behind. In honor of what would have been Lennon's 70th birthday on October 9, eight of his solo albums and other recordings are being remastered and reissued as part of the "Gimme Some Truth" campaign, which is of course being overseen by Lennon's widow, Ono.
A stripped down, expanded version of Double Fantasy, a hits collection called Power to the People: The Hits, a four-disc set dubbed Gimme Some Truth and a deluxe, 11-disc box set, The John Lennon Signature Box, are just some of the treats Lennon and Beatles fans can salivate over. They will all be remastered and include rarities and non-album singles.
The reissues come out on October 5, four days before Lennon's actual birthday. More information is available at JohnLennon.com.
