John Mayer Blasts the Huffington Post

John Mayer likes to use social networking to air his laundry, dirty or otherwise. At the end of last week, the guitarist hit his blog to attack The Huffington Post for their article that suggested that he reunited with his famous ex, Jennifer Aniston. I find this entertaining since Mayer spilled plenty of beans about his relationship with Aniston in his Playboy profile earlier this year. At his show in L.A. last week, Mayer said he believed in second chances, while a woman resembling his blonde 'n tanned and hard-bodied ex was in attendance. The Huff Po ran with these events and penned a brief story wondering if the famous exes had come full circle...again.
"Huffington Post, this is reporting? How do you pay your writers now, in Silly Bandz?" Mayer writes in a blog post linked to his Twitter. The singer admitted that he may have said the "second chances" line at some point during the concert, but alleges that the site combined the lyrics to his song "Half of My Heart" with an unrelated line later in a show to create a salacious quote. "This is equal parts fabricated, cobbled together and misleading," writes Mayer.
The Huff Po's response to Mayer's ire? They mention that Mayer "does not deny that he and Aniston are dating" in his blog posting.
Do you think the Mayer doth protest too much? Should he and Aniston reunite? Team Mayer or Team Huffington Post?
