John Mayer Set for Southern Ground Music + Food Festival in Charleston

Singer/songwriter John Mayer had so much fun at Zac Brown Band's Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Nashville, that he has been added to the lineup for Charleston's SGMFF descending on Blackbaud Stadium on October 20 + 21, where Brown's "vision of combining world class fare with live music became a stunning reality."
Zac Brown Band will lead the bill with nightly performances, in addition to The Avett Brothers, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Los Lonely Boys. Both events will feature Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Jerry Douglas Band, and Southern Ground Artists including Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan and Blackberry Smoke, among others.
Curated by the band – from the appetizers to the openers, and the entrees to the headliners – festival-goers can expect two evenings of the finest musical acts, delicious offerings from the culinary world's best chefs – under the helm of Southern Ground Executive Chef Rusty Hamlin, and an all around "incredible level of production" (Charleston City Paper) guaranteed to be a sensory experience like no other music festival.

The festival offers customized Front Porch Stage Boxes to provide concert-goers with on-stage seating, feet away from the performers; a four-course gourmet meal prepared by Chef Rusty and his hand-selected crew of acclaimed chefs; and complimentary beverages including premium beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Additional concessions will be available from "Cookie," Zac Brown Band's tractor trailer-sized mobile kitchen, which will offer a la carte items prepared with Brown's famous Southern Ground Grub GA Clay Spice Rub and Zac's own Brown Sauce, as well as selections from local restaurants, providing the best gourmet Southern fare.
