Jon Foreman (Switchfoot) Shares Track "Before Our Time," Will Play 25 Shows in 24 Hours

"Before Our Time" is the new song from Jon Foreman's forthcoming EP, The Wonderlands: Dawn, the final installment in a four-part EP series (comprised also of Sunlight, Shadows, and Darkness) the singer calls "my opus of light and darkness."
Featuring Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), it's an earnest and lively acoustic anthem in the vein of the Lumineers or the Head and the Heart, and culminates the 25-song-long project (each song enlisting the help of a different producer, each track representative of an hour in the day) on a joyful note.
Foreman, a native Californian, is a born dreamer, too. In his hometown of San Diego, on October 24th, the 38-year-old songwriter is slated to play an ambitious 25 shows in 24 hours (Guinness Book of Records, are you listening?). He'll kick things off at Switchfoot's own Bro-Am Studios, just north of town in Encinitas, a known surfing mecca. (All proceeds from the ticketed shows will go to The Bro-Am Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to support the next generation of artists and songwriters.)
In true bro style, Foreman is holding two fan contests with cherry prizes. Here it is, direct from the source: "The fan that steams The Wonderlands playlist on Spotify the most between today (October 12th) and October 16th will win a Jon Foreman surf board. The San Diego area fan that streams The Wonderlands playlist the most before October 16th will receive an exclusive performance from Foreman during his 25 in 24 event." Here's hoping Foreman gets in some good surfing to condition his bod for the upcoming 25 hour haul.
