Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Name is Misspelled on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Everyone makes mistakes in print copy. It's a fact of life and the job. However, this typo cannot be excused and should be filed in our "Now, that’s ghetto" file, solely because of the reparations that were made in order to fix the error quickly. Former Seinfeld actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this week. Sadly, though, there were typos galore on the star. Her name was spelled "Julia Luis" instead of "Louis" and the hyphen between Louis and Dreyfus was MIA. The placard was fixed and a ghetto version was provided for usage at the event.
The actress showed her famous sense of humor regarding the error, saying "It's an ideal metaphor for how this business works!" The powers-that-be that install the stars on the Walk promised to get a corrected version in place on the walk and that they will send her the misspelled version to keep as a memento. Like that's something she'll throw on the old mantle!
Should someone be fired over this typo? Or was it an honest mistake?
