A slew of new songs hit the airwaves this week. St. Vincent's "Golden Girls" dirge confused a variety of folks. Jamie Lidell announced he will be releasing a new album and unveiled "Walk Right Back." PJ Harvey released "Guilty," which is not on Hope Six Demolition Project. Thee Oh Sees debuted "The Axis."

In the world of hip hop, Ty Dolla $ign hit the "Campaign" trail with Future. Banks & Steelz released the third single, "Speedway Sonora," from their upcoming album Anything But Words. Migos unveiled "Now" featuring Gucci Mane.

Meanwhile, we saw a return from two folk rock giants. Wilco debuted "Locator" and we got two new tracks from My Morning Jacket, "The First Time" and "Bullet." And that was only the beginning for a week stacked with incredible new music:

    Here are our favorites:

    Justice - "Safe and Sound"

Justice returned with their first new music in five years. "Safe and Sound" is not a return to form. It is simply a reminder of just how awesome Justice has always been. We've certainly missed them.

Katie Dey - "Only To Trip And Fall Down Again"

Warped, liquidy pop, Katie Dey's "Only to Trip and Fall Down Again" shows off her impressive production skills as well as her already obvious songwriter prowess. Like psychedelic rain, it's a puddle you wouldn't mind falling into again and again.

Kool & the Gang - "Sexy"

"Sexy" is just as advertised. Kool & The Gang's first new single in nearly a decade just reminds us how good they've always been.

    LVL Up - "Pain"

A bit of college-y, pub rock is pleasant from time to time, but in the case of LVL UP's "Pain" it's excellent. Guitars jangle and churn through chilling lyrics like "I hope you're cold, I hope you grow old, and never find love," and those are the kind of icy feelings we need more of this time of year.

AlunaGeorge - "Mean What I Mean"

Another new song from AlunaGeorge, another top songs of the week placement. This duo simply kills it and we can't wait for the forthcoming album.
