While in Japan, Justin Bieber visited a controversial war shrine that honors the military dead. He tweeted (and deleted) something about blessings, and fans were hurt by it. Clearly, he did not know the politics or the error of his ways.
He quickly apologized and posted a note and photo on Instagram.
"While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan," he wrote.
See the photo below.
It seemed like an honest mistake.
What do you think of The Biebs' gaffe?
