Justin Bieber will be honored at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in New York, due to his impact on social media and digital networking. The Biebs was plucked from obscurity as a YouTube sensation and then propelled to international fame.
The fest is recognizing The Biebs and his manager Scooter Braun for "the historic discovery of Bieber on YouTube and his subsequent social media rise."
Bieber and Braun are expected to attend the Disruptive Innovation Awards ceremony on April 27 and pick up their award.
