JVC Mobile Entertainment (www.mobile.jvc.com), a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated mobile, audio, and video products, has announced the creation and launch
of a never-before-seen network of pages on Facebook. JVC has quietly built a network of 84 Facebook pages designed to link their local car audio and video dealers with their target audience of 16-to-35 year-old men and women within their local communities. Whoever came up with this idea is cutting edge with their ideas and has a finger pressed firmly on the digital pulse of today.
Content will be focused on topics such as music, action sports, body art, and fashion, along with the rock 'n' roll, celebrity lifestyle. "While many companies have attempted to reach their target audience on a national basis, few, if any, have attempted to build a national network of local communities in support of their brand and their customers," said Chad Vogelsong, General Manager of Marketing for JVC Mobile Entertainment. We are truly building a Social Network inside The Social Network."
JVC will post content everyday on each of the 84 local Facebook pages, as well as its national JVC Mobile Entertainment Facebook page. By featuring a wide array of content each day that is relevant to the brand's Facebook friends online interests and entertainment interests. JVC hopes to engage members of its local lifestyle communities in events, promotions, sweepstakes and contests. The local Facebook pages will also provide detailed information about the company's full range of car audio, video and navigation products, while promoting its authorized dealers in each local region."
"For over 15 years, JVC has been involved with musicians and musical venues, action sports athletes, lifestyle events, tattoo artists and exhibitions, said Vogelsong. "Now we are taking it to another level by reaching out to individuals, independent retailers and events on a local level around the country and asking them to join us in celebrating these lifestyles." Again, as we said earlier, a brilliant and modern strategy.
As for the music tie in? For the past three months, JVC Mobile Entertainment has been running promotional contests that have spiked the brand's number of Facebook fans from a few hundred to over 15,000 followers. Prizes for these contests have included an autographed guitar by Alice in Chains guitarist, Jerry Cantrell, an autographed drum head from Linkin Park and most recently, an autographed guitar from Puddle of Mudd, who starred in JVC Mobile Entertainment's Turn Me ON 4 campaign, earlier this year. These contests will continue through the end of the year and beyond on both the JVC Mobile Entertainment Facebook page, as well as the brand's 84 regional pages.
