Kanye West Is Hosting A Streaming Event For The Premiere of "Famous" Video

Kanye West will premiere the video for The Life of Pablo highlight "Famous" at Los Angeles' The Forum on Friday. The song has been the source of controversy since its inception thanks to Yeezy's infamous couplet "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/I made that bitch famous." Last week the line again made headlines, when GQ interviewed Kim Kardashian West about the song. Kanye recalls Taylor Swift giving "her blessings" to "Famous," and his wife has elaborated on his account, referring to an hour long phone conversation that allegedly took place between the two songwriters. But Swift's camp was quick to deny that Taylor had "totally approved" the song.
Taylor's spokesperson's reply to GQ was straightforward: "Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone."
This is not the first time Kanye West's hosted a grand premiere event. You may recall he pulled a similar stunt for the debut of The Life of Pablo, where he hosted a sold-out show release party/fashion show at Madison Square Garden, back in February. Now it's June, Life of Pablo has a new final song, "Saint Pablo [ft. Sampha]," and we're now awaiting the release of West's next label compilation - the sequel to 2012's Cruel Summer - Cruel Winter which he debuted the first single for a couple weeks ago, the triumphant G.O.O.D. Music pose cut, "Champions."
The premiere event for "Famous" will be streamed live via Tidal, similarly to the Madison Square Garden event. Tickets are currently up for sale.
Recently Kanye West announced the Saint Pablo Tour.
